How we got started
The usher and collection consists of two buildings that have different objects within them, The collection is a historical museum that has things from the Roman period to even further back to the Jurassic period so on. Whereas the usher holds art pieces such as paintings, sculptures crockery and clocks. With the layout of the usher being similar to how James Usher had it when he was alive, with it been his house it is a completely different building compared to the Collection. Both of them are equally intriguing. One of the first things we had to do was to pick something that stood out to all of us and draw it on a piece of paper.
With there being so many Grandfather Clocks in the usher it stood out to me the most. All of them looked very similar to each other, tall, brown with a clock face all stood in a row.
With everyone drawing something they thought stood out to them, the whole page was covered in array of different objects from the usher. Although this was merely a starting point if we compared our beginning drawing to our projects later on they could be completely different.
