Site Specific or Site Generic?

The premise of site specific performance is to create art which is tailored exactly for a certain site. We are curating our installation as a direct result of our exploration of the Usher gallery and navigating ourselves around the gardens to create a performance which is specific to our site. Therefore, the question as to whether or not site specifc can tour or not is one which can polarise opinions.

Our piece allows the audience to navigate the Usher gardens in any which way they like, however, the installations are carefully tailored to the specifics of the site that we are using. We are taking great care in the way in which we present our broken items in certain places within the gardens, therefore, touring this project would not be possible as it is tailored specifically for the Usher gardens.
